Jinshi: A clear evening in midsummer Episode 1

Series details

Lin Wanqing, a talented fashion designer, had quietly admired architect Lu Shiyan for years. After an accident left Lu blind while saving his ex-girlfriend, he retreated into solitude, shutting out those who cared for him. In a bold move, Lin proposed a six-month marriage agreement, hoping to help him heal. Following their marriage, Lin brought warmth into his life through thoughtful gestures—gardenias, a playful golden retriever, and the gentle sound of her piano playing. Slowly, Lu transitioned from resistance to trust, allowing her to chip away at the walls he had built. Together, they faced challenges from jealous rivals and workplace turmoil. As the six-month mark approached, Lu surprised her with a heartfelt confession during a trip abroad. Determined to reclaim his vision, Lu underwent a risky eye surgery that ultimately succeeded. While recovering, he stumbled upon Lin's old high school diary, uncovering the truth: their meeting was no coincidence but the result of her years of quiet devotion. With his sight restored, Lu dove back into his career, now with Lin by his side. Their love blossomed into a mutual devotion, overcoming past misunderstandings and finding peace with former romantic rivals. What began as a one-sided crush evolved into a shared journey, culminating in a life of peace and happiness in their peaceful home filled with the scent of gardenias.
