Married the Disabled Heir Instead Episode 1

Series details

On the eve of her wedding, Jiang Xinyu accidentally overheard her fiancé, Lu Zheyuan, boasting to friends that the woman he truly loved was her twin sister, Jiang Xuerou. He revealed that Xuerou was already pregnant with his child and that he planned to humiliate Xinyu publicly at the ceremony. On the wedding day, a visibly pregnant Jiang Xuerou appeared, and Lu Zheyuan pressured Xinyu to step aside and let them be together. In full view of everyone, a heartbroken Xinyu turned and proposed to He Yunjing, who was seated in a wheelchair. She faced ridicule for marrying a disabled man; her parents scolded her, her sister kicked her while she was down, and Lu Zheyuan even locked her in a storage room to publicly shame her. Just as Xinyu fell into despair, He Yunjing made a commanding return, taking her away and revealing his true identity on the spot—he was, in fact, the heir to the powerful He family, having previously kept his status hidden. In an instant, the Lu Group was acquired and driven into bankruptcy, and everyone who had humiliated Xinyu paid a heavy price. Subsequently, Xinyu learned a truth that had been buried for seven years: when she was kidnapped years ago, He Yunjing had risked his life to save her—sustaining a permanent disability in the process—while her parents had concealed everything for the sake of profit. She completely severed ties with her family and joined forces with He Yunjing to thwart the schemes of the Lu family and Jiang Xuerou. After overcoming numerous trials, Xinyu earned the He family's approval through her own merits. Jiang Xuerou suffered total disgrace and a mental breakdown, while Lu Zheyuan went bankrupt and became a social pariah. Ultimately, He Yunjing made a full recovery; the couple dedicated themselves to philanthropy and welcomed a lovely daughter. The choice that everyone had once mocked turned out to be the best decision of Xinyu's life. She finally understood that what truly matters when entrusting one's life to another is not wealth or status, but a sincere heart that remains steadfast in protecting you.
