Marry by Chance Episode 1

Series details

During a high-stakes mission, Clare Brown, a righteous and courageous police officer, mistakes a mysterious stranger, Evan Clinton, for her undercover contact. In a whirlwind of confusion, she forces him into a "VIP" wedding at a small city hall chapel. Faced with this sudden marriage contract, Evan offers a deal: he will provide Clare with a place to stay and cover her living expenses if she agrees to play the role of his "wife" to keep his meddling family at bay. They agree to a "marriage in name only," promising not to interfere in each other's private affairs. To protect herself and her frail younger brother, Charlie, Clare has no choice but to accept this absurd arrangement. However, as they live together, the icy masks they wear begin to melt. While investigating the disappearance of an intern named Wendy, Clare is shocked to find that the clues lead directly to the heart of Evan’s enterprise. Meanwhile, during a series of crises, Evan witnesses Clare's unwavering resilience and hidden tenderness. Just as feelings begin to grow between them, Blake Foster, a high-ranking executive, teams up with Evan's obsessed former fiancée, Anna Green, to weave a deadly conspiracy that plunges Clare into a life-or-death crisis. Trapped in a desperate situation within an abandoned warehouse, Clare faces her darkest hour. Evan risks everything, including his vast fortune and reputation, to ensure her safety. Through this redemption and confrontation on the brink of death, the two work together to expose the mastermind and clear their names. Finally letting down their guards, they confess their true feelings for one another. In the end, they return to the small chapel where they first met to complete their wedding—this time in the name of true love—starting a sweet new chapter of their lives together.
