My Beggar Husband Is the Sea God Episode 1

Series details

In her past life, Cordelia Vance, the eldest daughter of the Vance family, was betrayed by her jealous younger sister, Vivian, and died in a violent storm. Reborn five years earlier on the day of the husband-selection ceremony, Cordelia discovers that Vivian has also returned to the past. Determined to steal the life her sister once had, Vivian uses scented powder to secure Lucius, the heir to Harbor City, then secretly rigs Cordelia's choice so that her dove lands on Caspian, a penniless drifter living on a wrecked wooden boat. Mocked by the entire city and pressured by her parents to break the match, Cordelia, already disillusioned with the hypocrisy of high society, chooses to follow her heart and marry Caspian. When he risks his life to protect her, she finally breaks away from her family for good. What Cordelia doesn't know is that the man everyone calls a beggar is actually the Lord of the Seven Seas, hiding among mortals to escape an arranged marriage in the Divine Realm. Through a series of dangerous trials at sea, Cordelia proves her courage and principles, fights back against Vivian and the Sterling family's relentless cruelty, and even wins over the Sea Mother herself with the purity of her heart. In the end, Caspian reveals his true identity as the Sea God before everyone, crushes the Mermaid Princess who tries to steal his place at Cordelia's side, and gives Cordelia a spectacular wedding witnessed by all Seven Seas. Vivian, meanwhile, pays the ultimate price for her schemes and is imprisoned forever in the depths of the sea.
