My Dear Doctor, Please Be Gentle with Me Episode 1

Series details

At twenty-four, Sophia Bennett puts her medical career on hold while her father waits for a life-saving heart transplant. When his condition worsens, her stepsister Eva uses his treatment to manipulate Sophia into meeting renowned cardiothoracic surgeon Julian Bale—only for Sophia to discover that Julian has also been set up. Sophia protects Julian instead of playing along, but Eva twists the truth, leaving Sophia and Julian suspicious of each other. Their paths cross again at Bale Medical, where Sophia earns a residency position and proves her talent during a critical emergency. Soon, Sophia discovers that her father is only one of hundreds of vulnerable patients affected by a system that puts financial interests before medical need. As she and Julian investigate together, their growing trust turns into something deeper. When powerful figures try to stop her father’s transplant, Julian risks his career to save him. Determined to clear Julian’s name and expose the truth, Sophia gathers the evidence needed to bring the scheme to light. With those responsible facing investigation, Sophia finally returns to the dream she once abandoned. She completes her residency, helps build a program for patients in need, and chooses Julian on her own terms. One year later, after another long night shift, they finally have the wedding they once thought they might never reach.
