My Girlfriend Is a Witch Episode 1

Series details

Charlotte is an ordinary investment banking employee who appears to be an awkward, overlooked nobody. In reality, she is the last pure-blood witch in the magical world. To conceal her identity, she seals away her powers. But one accident changes everything when a vial of True Love Potion unexpectedly binds the cold and aloof CEO, Lucas, to her. Just as Charlotte begins to believe in love, Lucas's first love, Ava, returns from abroad wielding dark magic. Ava steals Charlotte's achievements and uses illusions to convince Lucas that Charlotte manipulated him with a love potion to climb the corporate ladder. Publicly humiliated and driven out of the company, Charlotte loses everything—even her precious spellbook is turned to stone. Ambitious and calculating, Ava has always dreamed of becoming a world-famous television producer. After spending three years traveling the globe to film her hit travel series, she returns home and quickly notices the growing chemistry between Charlotte and Lucas. Realizing Lucas's feelings are beginning to shift, Ava schemes relentlessly to drive them apart, but every attempt is cleverly foiled. Feeling increasingly threatened by Ava's return, Charlotte discovers an ancient Devotion Potion while studying potion-making—a potion capable of making someone love another with unwavering loyalty. Fearing Lucas's wavering heart, she secretly brews it and disguises it as an energy drink. Exhausted from working overtime, Lucas unknowingly drinks it before Charlotte can stop him. As expected, he immediately confesses his love to her. Although deeply moved, Charlotte is haunted by guilt, and her identity as a witch is eventually exposed. Ava seizes the opportunity to tell Lucas that his feelings for Charlotte are nothing more than the effect of the potion. Heartbroken and unable to defend herself, Charlotte chooses to seal away her magic forever, vowing never to use it again. But the entire situation has been Ava's scheme from the beginning. Secretly coveting Charlotte's magical abilities, Ava digs up the spellbook Charlotte buried and learns to brew the Devotion Potion herself. She tricks Lucas into drinking it, making him appear to fall in love with her instead. Watching Lucas seemingly choose Ava shatters Charlotte's heart. Believing that none of his feelings were ever genuine, she leaves him behind. Ava celebrates her apparent victory—only to watch Lucas instinctively abandon her and chase after Charlotte instead. His genuine love breaks the Devotion Potion's control through sheer willpower, causing the spell to backfire on Ava. At last, Charlotte realizes that Lucas's love has always been real, and the two reconcile. Driven into desperation after her plans collapse, Ava turns to the forbidden dark magic hidden within the spellbook. She attempts to devour Lucas's soul and transform him into her obedient puppet. To save him, Charlotte finally breaks the seal on her own magic and confronts Ava in a decisive battle. In the end, Ava's limited mastery of dark magic proves no match for Charlotte's true power. She is effortlessly defeated, while Lucas fully accepts that Charlotte is a witch—and even thinks she looks incredibly cool fighting with magic. Together, they begin a sweet new life, living happily under the same roof.
