My Nan Is Britain’s Last Witch Episode 1

Series details

After losing her job and her home, Evelyn Wren moves in with her eccentric grandmother, Agatha—only to discover that Agatha is Britain’s last traditional witch. When an invisible magic book chooses Evelyn as its new apprentice, her ordinary life is replaced by boggarts, shadow hounds, name-stealing goblins and dangerous enchanted objects. But Evelyn soon learns that magical creatures are not always the real monsters. Each encounter leaves behind a mysterious silver artefact bearing the symbol of the Crown Office, a secret organisation determined to eliminate Britain’s remaining supernatural life. Armed with Evelyn’s modern logic, Agatha’s old magic and the reluctant help of their friend Leo, the unlikely family begins uncovering a conspiracy led by the ruthless Silas. With the Silver Clearance only days away, Evelyn must decide what kind of magician she wants to become—and whether she can protect a hidden world that Britain has chosen to erase. A British gothic fantasy mystery about family, prejudice and choosing who deserves to be called a monster.
