No Longer By His Side Episode 1

Series details

Since the age of 13, Elyse has acted as Trystan's personal human pillow to comfort him due to his childhood trauma, quietly loving him from afar and staying by his side humbly for a decade. Trystan flits from one romantic partner to another, treating Elyse as nothing more than a tool, ruthlessly trampling on her affections and shattering her youthful crush. He crosses boundaries amid ambiguous interactions yet refuses to acknowledge his feelings for her. Trysta's mother condescendingly bullies Elyse, coercing her into stepping back by cutting her salary and manipulating contract renewals. Having lost all hope, Elyse terminates their agreement resolutely and leaves quietly to pursue further studies in London, embarking on a brand-new life. After losing Elyse, Trystan suffers from all-night insomnia and mental breakdown, only realizing belatedly that he is deeply in love with her. He follows her to London, lives next door to wait for her silently, and even ends up hospitalized after taking pills to harm himself. He pleads for reconciliation in a humbling manner with a childhood wish voucher, which Elyse reject him completely. Elyse lets go of the past entirely and blossoms into an independent, bright young woman; trapped in endless remorse and lifelong insomnia, Trystan and Elyse part ways for good, their expired love never to find a way back.
