Palm COUNTDOWN Episode 1

Series details

Ethan, the son of the wealthy Vos family, was born with a special ability: he could see the death date appearing in the palm of everyone’s hand. At the age of four, he predicted that his older brother would fall to his death from the terrace. No one took it seriously, and the prediction soon came true. Six months later, he said that his father would die in a car accident, yet again no one believed him. On the day of the father’s car accident, the mother, who was carrying his sister Lyra, was so frightened that she gave birth prematurely and passed away. Ethan’s three older sisters blamed him for the misfortune, sending him to live in the mansion’s basement and forbidding him from approaching Lyra, subjecting him to cold treatment for eighteen years. On his twenty-second birthday, Ethan saw his own death date in his palm: July 1, from complications of a stomach ulcer. He wanted to prepare one last family reunion meal before his departure, but his stomach ailment suddenly flared up, causing him to go into shock. His eldest sister Ella rushed him to the hospital in time to save his life, and she began to question the biases she had held for so many years. Shortly afterward, Ethan warned his business partner, Mr. Hale, not to drive long distances, helping him avoid a fatal car accident, completely confirming his predictive ability. He then found his father’s diary and final letters, confirming that this ability was a hereditary trait among Vos men and was not a curse. His father and brother had long been aware of their own death dates, and none of it had anything to do with Ethan. Once the three sisters learned the truth, they solemnly apologized for their eighteen years of mistreatment, and the family began to reconcile. His sister Lyra had once felt insecure due to the family’s lack of attention, causing some friction, but Ethan gently comforted her, and the siblings resolved their misunderstandings. Later, Ethan foresaw the date of his own death in a car accident again. This time, he did not face it alone; he changed travel plans with his entire family, successfully avoiding the disaster, proving that death predictions were not unchangeable. Eventually, Ethan was admitted to university and joined the family business, using his ability to help those around him avoid risks. The family fully let go of past barriers, living in harmony and peace. What was once a curse of misfortune ultimately became a power to protect the family.
