Series details

Born into poverty in Miami, Isabel Moreno is bled dry by her gambling mother, delinquent brother, and manipulative boyfriend Marcus, who uses her as a pawn to infiltrate the Ashton shipping dynasty. A yacht-party setup lands her pregnant with Sebastian Ashton's child—and thrusts her into a viper's nest of old-money Boston.Marcus blackmails her with compromising photos and loan-shark debts. Her own family steals, burgles, and shames her publicly. Isabel initially wants only a safe delivery and a quiet exit. But she gradually notices her cold, distant husband quietly settling her debts, hiring security, and pre-collecting evidence behind her back. She decides to stop being a pawn.Pregnant and cornered, Isabel fights back: hidden cameras trap her birth family; a brilliantly fabricated bid proposal lures Marcus into a leveraged short that crushes him; she traces Leo's money trail, fractures Margaret from the alliance, and buries Leo with irrefutable proof at the board meeting. Then the seven-year secret unravels—Sebastian's mysterious girl who handed him cotton candy on a Miami dock during his blindness was nineteen-year-old Isabel. He had searched for her all along. With enemies expelled and her child born, Isabel—trained in fine arts—takes over the family foundation's art arm and investment fund, securing an independent trustee vote. From a contracted surrogate to a cherished partner and mother, she finds her true place beside the man who had loved her for seven years without knowing her name.
