Redemption Countdown, They Panicked Episode 1

Series details

After her husband and son were declared brain-dead following a car accident, Mary bound herself to a "Redemption System" and entered another world, where she devoted seven years to obediently serving George and his son. Yet, the pair never cherished her sacrifices; instead, they—along with their friends—repeatedly humiliated and abused her. She was falsely accused, pushed into a lake, scalded, confined, and even imprisoned. Bound by the system's rules, Mary could only endure in silence, finding the strength to go on each day by looking at photographs of her husband and son. Owen’s biological mother, Ella, sought to return to George and constantly targeted Mary; George turned a blind eye, repeatedly punishing Mary without regard for the truth. Finally, Mary was thrown into a maximum-security prison, where she held on until the moment of her return—only to die in her cell. It was then that George finally realized the truth; he placed her body in a cryogenic casket and spent his days in remorse. The system offered George and his son a chance to see Mary again, but the condition was the transfer of their entire fortune. They agreed and traveled to Mary’s world, only to discover she was already living a happy life with her family. Meanwhile, George and his son suffered the very torments Mary had endured, ultimately dying the day after her birthday. The cycle of karma spares no one.
