On the night she turns eighteen, orphan Anna has a one-night stand with Vincent Karen, the heir to the powerful mafia family, after he’s unknowingly drugged. Before dawn, Anna slips away without telling him. When she discovers she’s pregnant, she chooses to keep the baby and spends the next seven years raising their son, Luca, alone while struggling to make ends meet in the slums. Everything changes when seven-year-old Luca is diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and urgently needs 200,000 to have an operation. Desperate to save her son, Anna applies for a job at a casino owned by the Karen family, only to unexpectedly become Vincent’s personal assistant. Meanwhile, Vincent’s father, Don Karen, suddenly collapses at the hospital and is saved by Luca. Shocked by how much the boy looks exactly like Vincent did as a child, Don Karen secretly orders a DNA test, which confirms Luca is Vincent’s biological son. After learning the truth, Vincent quietly searches for the mother and child he’s been missing all these years, without realizing Anna is the woman he’s looking for. He uses every excuse to stay close to her, learning how to be a father along the way. As he watches Anna’s quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to Luca, he slowly falls in love with her all over again. But Sophia, a wealthy socialite who’s long been obsessed with Vincent, grows consumed by jealousy. She repeatedly targets Anna at work and eventually locks Luca, who suffers from severe claustrophobia, inside a storage room, causing the frail boy to collapse.Vincent arrives just in time, breaks down the door, and finally recognizes Luca as his own son. With the truth exposed, he vows to protect them who belong to him, destroy anyone who dares to hurt them, make up for the seven years they lost, and finally give their family the future they deserve.
