Series details Chloe Laurent is an intern at the very bottom of the hierarchy at the Weiss Haute Couture fashion house. Though timid and reserved by nature, she carries the burden of her mother’s dying wish and the secret behind the downfall of the Laurent legacy. Just as she was about to be kicked out by Chief Designer Vivian, fashion empress Diana Weiss discovered Chloe’s design sketches stained with coffee—the thorned rose motif on the sketches secretly echoed Diana’s long-buried memories.
In the VIP fitting room, Diana subjects Chloe to rigorous training in the name of discipline. The cold metal zippers, the tightly laced leather corset, and the searing gaze reflected in the mirror draw the two into a dangerous power struggle. Driven mad by jealousy, Vivian teams up with the brand’s CEO, Mark, to set a series of traps—plagiarizing designs, framing Chloe, and orchestrating a media smear campaign. Diana repeatedly comes to Chloe’s rescue behind the scenes, only to coldly pull away each time she gets close.
The mastermind behind it all, Isabella, emerges—the true power behind the Weiss Group and the very person who plagiarized Laurent’s designs years ago, driving Chloe’s mother to her death. Using Chloe’s future as leverage, Isabella forces Diana to marry Mark. To protect Chloe, Diana publicly expels her from Weiss. Chloe cut off her long hair, revealed her identity as Laurent’s heiress, and formed a revenge alliance with her best friend Luna and supermodel Selena under her independent brand, LIN. Diana secretly funded “Glacier Blue Silk” through her personal trust fund, but after Isabella discovered this, she faced
a breach-of-contract lawsuit worth tens of millions and punishment under family law. Mark set fire to the LAURENT Studio. With charred silk wrapped around her wrist, Chloe announced to the world that her next fashion show would be titled “Ashes.” On the final night, Chloe stormed into Diana and Mark’s engagement party and publicly exposed Isabella and Mark’s money-laundering records and evidence of their plundering of Laurent. Mark was arrested by the police, and Isabella was removed from her position by the board of directors. Chloe handed Diana the key necklace passed down through the Weiss family. The “Empress” finally broke free from her shackles and, amid a shower of gold dust and a flurry of camera flashes, bowed her head to Chloe in defeat. The two founded the V&L joint brand and stunned the world with their “Taming and Submission” collection at the grand finale show in Milan, standing shoulder to shoulder at the pinnacle of fashion.
