Separated by time and space, we will never meet again in this life Episode 1

Series details

Zhu Yaoyu, along with her husband Shen Ce and their son Shen Chengyan, unexpectedly traveled back in time to the ancient era. Shen Ce ascended the throne as emperor, Zhu Yaoyu became the empress, and their son was named crown prince. What should have been an idyllic family unit was shattered by a concubine who looked exactly like Lin Zhaoyue, Shen Ce's idealized past love from the modern world. On her deathbed, the concubine begged Zhu Yaoyu to relinquish her position as empress. Shen Ce, disregarding a decade of affection, agreed under the guise of seeking redemption, and even fabricated evidence to depose Zhu Yaoyu, tarnishing her reputation. Zhu Yaoyu lost her child twice, fell into postpartum depression, and was imprisoned in the isolated royal quarters, suffering endless humiliation while Shen Ce, despite his background in psychology, remained oblivious. It wasn't until Zhu Yaoyu set fire to her place of imprisonment, determined to end her life, that Shen Ce was driven to madness and repentance, confessing that she was his true love all along. In this tumultuous love-hate relationship that transcended time, wrapped in betrayal, guilt, and redemption, as the truth unfolded layer by layer, the couple was left with deep scars. Ultimately, they were separated by time and space, leaving only the regret of never being able to meet again in this lifetime.
