SIGNED, SEALED, SEVERED Episode 1

Series details

Charlotte had just learned she’d won an 80 million jackpot, but before she could tell her parents, they pressured her into signing a waiver, transferring all five family properties and every asset to her younger brother. After signing the waiver, she agreed only to provide her parents with basic support. Realizing the nature of their biased family ties, she remained calm and bided her time. Charles’s business failed, and after squandering the family’s entire fortune, he repeatedly showed up with his family to demand money. Charlotte hired a lawyer to draft a family rights and responsibilities agreement, clearly defining the boundaries between her support obligations and her ex-husband’s debts. Charles sold all his properties but was still unable to repay his debts; he divorced Mabel and took on odd jobs to make ends meet, with Charlotte providing him only a basic rental apartment to live in. Charlotte, now with Andrew by her side, no longer made unconditional compromises; she maintained a healthy distance from her family of origin and began to lead a stable and comfortable life.
