Silver-haired bodyguard Episode 1

Series details

Zheng Tao, determined not to be a burden on society, returned to his quiet hometown of Longcheng, a small city surrounded by hills, after retiring. Hoping to stay with his eldest son, he was instead turned away by both his son and daughter-in-law. In traditional Chinese culture, elders often live with their children, making Zheng Tao's rejection by his eldest son particularly heartbreaking. Left with no other option, he moved in with his second son, only to discover that his second son was struggling to make ends meet. Determined to support his struggling son, Zheng Tao made the bold decision to find work and eventually became a bodyguard for Gu Qingran at Qingran Group, a prestigious corporate firm. At first, Gu Qingran looked down on Zheng Tao, treating him as little more than a mascot or mere figurehead. But as she spent more time with him, her initial skepticism gave way to genuine admiration, as his unexpected skills and resourcefulness continued to astonish her. The hierarchical and formal dynamics between Zheng Tao and Gu Qingran also reflected traditional respect for authority figures in Chinese culture, adding further depth to their evolving relationship.
