Star Sea Immortal Journey Episode 1

Series details

English Brief Introduction Full Plot Summary Hao Yang, a genius young scientist, spends three sleepless days breaking the Federation’s technical blockade and inventing a space energy matrix with 17 times energy output. He decodes ancient runes, dreaming of tearing mankind out of Earth’s confinement and traveling across the stars. However, as soon as he unveils his invention to the public, the Council launches a full-scale arrest operation against him. Aveline, his lover and a military intelligence agent, is ordered to spy on him. She hides desperate warnings between cold official lines, and the blood rune scar carved on her wrist becomes the only secret medium to remind him of the fatal danger. Zhao Wuji, his former comrade with partially mechanized body, is trapped between military duty and brotherhood, forced to record every move of Hao Yang without interfering. Trapped and plunged into utter despair, Hao Yang awakens the Primordial Chaos Emperor’s Dao Seed that has slumbered inside him for six epochs. He learns a horrifying truth: the entire universe, including Earth, is a giant cage constructed by the Watchers. The Council is merely their subordinates, and all energy technology and ancient runes are chains to imprison all civilizations. Only Hao Yang carries the exclusive core algorithm capable of breaking the cage’s seal. Instead of fleeing alone to survive, he bears the power of Chaos, rips open the sky’s barrier in front of everyone, breaks the planetary cage, and marches toward the starry sky to confront the Watchers and corrupt federal authorities. As the opening arc of a short drama blending hard sci-fi and Eastern immortal cultivation, the first act constructs complete tragic foreshadowing with three core climaxes: betrayal at the technology presentation, awakening in the underground lab, and breaking through the sky. It revolves around three central conflicts: freedom vs. captivity, trust vs. betrayal, and the coexistence of an ordinary genius and an ancient Dao spirit. Central Themes Captivity and Breakthrough: Earth and the whole universe are artificial cages, and those in power deliberately maintain the chains of confinement. Collapsed Trust: Lover, best friend and the whole system turn against the protagonist, forming a tragedy of idealism facing cruel reality. Self and Symbiosis: The will of an ordinary genius merges with the ancient slumbering Dao spirit, completing mutual salvation and growth. Chains of Power: The ruling class suppresses civilization’s progress to protect their own power, viewing all explorers as threats.
