Step Into The Abyss The Queen’s Revenge Chessboard Episode 1

Series details

Genius toxicology prodigy Leah Hart’s world shattered overnight. Her upright father Bruce, a senior compliance officer at pharmaceutical giant Oakhaven, was framed for embezzlement and thrown to his death from a building. The corporation twisted his death into a “guilty suicide”, ruining her whole family’s reputation. After five years of bitter hiding, Leah buries her real identity and infiltrates Oakhaven as a low‑rank junior assistant, stepping straight into the lion’s den. Cold, manipulative CEO Kane Walker stands at the company’s apex — and he was a witness to her father’s fatal fall. She battles vicious office sabotage, outwits scheming rivals including Amy, a surgically‑altered decoy made to copy Kane’s dead wife, and teams up with Mike, whose mother perished in Oakhaven’s secret illegal human drug trials. Leah plays a deadly high‑stakes game: she seduces and provokes Kane, toggling between feigned softness and icy calculation to pry open the firm’s dirty secrets. Dark truths spill out: illicit clinical tests, underground drug trafficking, and the Caldwell family’s iron‑fisted capital manipulation. Just as she climbs to become Kane’s top‑ranked secretary and gains access to buried case files, every clue she chases keeps slipping away. She orchestrates a risky public collapse at a high‑profile pharma summit to cement Kane’s protective loyalty. Yet she still has no idea which side of the conspiracy Kane truly belongs to — will he become her greatest ally, or her most devastating downfall?
