Test Me Not, I'm Gone Episode 1

Series details

Nina Rowe discovers a cruel love test staged by her fiance, Josh Green, and her childhood best friend, Tia Foster, on the eve of their engagement. The pair fake Josh's death by drowning and watch as Nina kneels in grief at his funeral, enduring humiliation. Devastated, Nina attempts to take her own life with poison, only to discover that it was all an elaborate prank. As the poison takes effect, she is rushed to the hospital, but Josh dismisses her emergency as another part of the joke and rejects the hospital's pleas for help nine times. Nina's heart eventually stops. Thanks to the desperate efforts of her mother's close friend, Sara Woods, Nina survives and starts a new life under the name Erin Woods. On his wedding day, Josh receives news of her ""death"" and is consumed by regret. When they reunite, Josh desperately tries to make amends and win her back, but Erin firmly refuses. She chooses neither revenge nor forgiveness, focusing instead on building a successful life of her own. Josh takes full responsibility for his actions and faces an investigation, left to grapple with his guilt and seek redemption on his own. In the end, they each move on with their lives.
