The Alpha Who Forgot His Luna Episode 1

Series details

Layla Wayne is in truth Layla Nightwood — the sole heir of House Nightwood, the oldest and most powerful werewolf bloodline in existence. In pursuit of a love untainted by her lineage, she concealed her identity and, as an ordinary Omega, married Caden Thorne, an ambitious young warrior. For three years she endured the contempt of his pack, alone giving birth to their twin sons, Rowan and Theo. Then, at Caden's Alpha coronation — before three hundred dignitaries and their own children — he took the hand of his wartime second-in-command, Selene Frost, and swore the mate-bond vow, declaring her "the one my wolf soul was fated to love." His mother, Vesper Thorne, publicly humiliated Layla as "a worthless stray bastard" and ordered her banished. Layla took her sons' hands and dialed the number she had avoided for three years — that of her grandfather, Aldrick Nightwood, patriarch of House Nightwood. "I'm coming home." Upon her return, she wielded the Bloodline Right of Judgment as a blade, quietly undermining the legitimacy of Caden's succession while securing full custody of the twins. She joined the Luna Council, uniting the realm's most powerful she-wolves to crush Vesper's attempt to seize the children. Caden only learned the truth when he received House Nightwood's summons and uncovered the sealed heir portrait — the wife he had discarded in public was the very source of the bloodline that granted him his Alpha status. On the day of judgment, Aldrick threatened to strip him of his bloodline inheritance. Caden signed away his custody rights and swore a secrecy blood-oath. His power was broken; the crown remained, but reverence did not. Thereafter he traveled every cycle, through wind and rain, to keep every supervised visitation — from playing the villain to being allowed into the "good side," slowly, inch by inch, rebuilding trust. Layla, meanwhile, mediated territorial disputes and renewed bloodline privileges across the packs, and was unanimously voted Matriarch of House Nightwood. On the night of the succession, she told Caden plainly: "I have not forgiven you. Perhaps I never will. But you have kept every appointment — every meeting, every call, every star chart." He is no longer her mate, only their children's father. And the midnight hours that once held nothing but betrayal and waiting are, at last, entirely her own.
