The Bet That Cost Them Everything Episode 1

Series details

The day my exam results came out, my entire family went insane, begging me for forgiveness. It all started with my grandfather, a legendary figure in the high-stakes world of gambling, who set up a brutal wager. The stakes? My college entrance exam scores against those of my adopted sister, Octavia. Octavia studied relentlessly, burning the midnight oil. Me? I played hooky, chasing freedom, while she chased textbooks. The one with the higher score would claim ten percent of the prize pool—a vast fortune. Every Sinclair family member was allowed to participate, but what Grandpa Julian intended as a challenge for young heirs twisted into a public humiliation for me. My parents despised me, wagering three casinos on Octavia. My brother, Jasper Cole, called me worthless, betting ten luxury yachts on her victory. Even my fiancé, Maximus Thorne, put up prime real estate in Southpoint, declaring, "Grandpa, I might be Fallon's fiancée, but she's utterly useless, a disgrace to the Sinclairs. I can't bet on a sure loser." Just as the media lamented my lack of a wager, threatening to derail the bet, I spoke, my voice calm. "I'll double down. Whatever you bet, I'll match." Octavia laughed. "Sister, you're truly foolish. If you're going to raise the stakes, you can only bet on yourself to win, you know? And what, exactly, do you have to wager?" I looked at my arrogant adopted sister, a smile finally breaking through. Years of waiting, and I finally had my chance. "Of course," I said. "I'll bet my inheritance rights. Do you dare to match that?" The biased Sinclair family lost their minds, betting frantically, all to secure Octavia's inheritance. They had no idea what they had just unleashed.
