The Blood Night Crown Episode 1

Series details

Set against the backdrop of the vampire world in Southern France, The Blood Night Crown follows the female protagonist, Isabella, who harbors a deep-seated blood feud from the massacre of her clan by the Savoy family two centuries ago. Back then, the treacherous old patriarch of the Savoys betrayed and slaughtered the entire Montmorency clan. Young Isabella was the sole survivor of the slaughter; she endured years of silent submission, hiding in plain sight while biding her time for revenge. In her youth, she and Victor, the second son of the Savoys, shared mutual feelings. However, under intense family pressure, Victor chose to back down, helplessly watching her be used as a political pawn in a forced marriage to his older brother and the rightful heir, Alexander. Over the next three hundred years, Isabella played the part of a cold and obedient consort while secretly hoarding Holy Water crystals and forging covert alliances to lay the groundwork for her vengeance. Living in his brother's shadow, Victor's resentment bred monstrous ambition. He bribed close guards and allied with the Avignon family to ambush and assassinate Alexander using silver powder and a mithril dagger. Having seized the castle and the crown, Victor forcefully confined and claimed Isabella. Feigning submission, Isabella exploited the fierce jealousy of Victor's wife, Camilla, baiting her into poisoning the goblet at the coronation ceremony while secretly planting evidence to frame Camilla for the attempted assassination of the new king. To assert his absolute authority, Victor subjected Isabella to a brutal lashing with a silver-infused whip, entirely unaware that he had walked right into her trap. Following the torture, Isabella proactively invited Victor to her chambers for an intimate rendezvous. During their kiss, she slipped Holy Water crystals into his mouth, poisoning the usurper to death. She had already forged a lucrative alliance with the Grand Duke of Avignon, who promptly mobilized his private army to besiege the castle. Harnessing the residual, double-royal blood power left behind by both Alexander and Victor, Isabella subjugated the remaining Savoy knights. Through a calculated blend of territorial concessions and warnings of the Northern Main House's wrath, she coerced the Grand Duke of Avignon into signing a binding blood oath of fealty. When Louis, an envoy dispatched by the Northern Savoy branch, marched south with troops to seize control, Isabella lay in wait with a pre-arranged Blood-Ban Array, poisoning and decimating the Northern knights. In the end, she donned the Blood Night Crown—exclusive to the clan's patriarchs—settling all scores with her enemies. Having secured absolute dominion over the vampires of Southern France, she ushered in the age of the Montmorency's eternal reign.
