The Broken Melody Episode 1

Series details

Three months after everyone thought I was dead, I ran into one of my ex-husband's friends in a nightclub. He told me Adrien had been searching for me like a madman. I only laughed. Adrien was my ex now—and I no longer cared what happened to him. Before I disappeared, I was still Kayla Thorne, a pianist preparing ""Moonlight Murmurs"" as a fifth-anniversary gift for my husband. Then I found a hidden diary and a worn wooden bracelet. Inside the diary, Adrien mocked my music, praised my best friend Olivia, and wrote about the hotel rooms where they met behind my back. The bracelet finished what the diary had started: Adrien had been in Olivia's bed the night before he proposed to me. I called my brother and activated the emergency plan we had named Project Phantom. I wanted to disappear from this life completely. The memories became even crueler. Years earlier, Adrien had publicly proposed to Olivia at our graduation, then begged me to forgive him. I took him back, married him against my family's wishes, and even let Olivia stand beside me as my maid of honor—while Adrien spent five years keeping me at a distance and making me doubt myself. On the night before my planned disappearance, I still had to attend Adrien's charity concert as Mrs. Black. Then the host announced a brilliant young musician performing her ""original"" composition: Olivia Hart. The first notes were ""Moonlight Murmurs""—the piece I had written for my husband. My marriage had already been built on lies. Now even my music was being taken from me.
