The Desperate Wife's Perfect Revenge Episode 1

Series details

Scarlett is a mother of three, pregnant with her fourth child. Her husband Michael is selfish and vain. At his promotion ceremony, he publicly calls her the "perfect housewife"—only for their young daughter Lily to expose his daily belittlement of her in front of everyone. Backstage, Scarlett finds a bouquet of roses with an ambiguous signature, beginning her journey to uncover the truth about her husband's infidelity. Her eldest son, Leo, witnesses Michael having an affair with his stepsister, Susie, in a restroom. Scarlett moves from quiet endurance to awakening and begins gathering evidence. She discovers the hand cream Michael gave her was a free gift—while the real present, an $18,000 bracelet, went to Susie. She disguises herself, follows them, films Michael and Susie checking into a hotel, and hands the evidence to her lawyer. To seize Scarlett's mother's trust fund and custody of the children, Michael forges a diagnosis of "postpartum depression" and hides a GPS tracker in her bracelet. Scarlett turns the tables—and discovers Michael's true lover is his boss, Christian Vance. She tells Susie, who breaks down and joins Scarlett, forming a "revenge alliance" with Fiona, Christian's wife. Scarlett revives her career as a novelist and gains financial independence. In a psychological evaluation, she outmaneuvers Michael—getting the doctor to conclude that Michael is the one with severe personality disorder. She protects Berry, a neighbor girl suffering domestic abuse, and in court presents a complete chain of evidence of Michael's affairs, including intimate videos with Christian. Michael is left with nothing, loses custody of all three children, and Christian is fired by the board over the scandal.
