The Don's Fake Death Cost Him Everything Episode 1

Series details

Ginevra De Luca was born into an ancient Mafia family, but hid her true surname when she married New York Godfather Alessandro Vitale. On their wedding day, six weeks pregnant, she waited for her groom—only to receive the ashes of his remains after his convoy exploded. A month later, Ginevra accidentally uncovered the truth: Alessandro had faked his death to stay with his mistress Serena, who claimed to be terminally ill. He even pretended to be his nonexistent twin brother, Lorenzo, so he could secretly watch his wife grieve for him. Certain that Ginevra loved him too much to leave, especially with their child on the way, Alessandro never expected her to fight back. Ginevra terminated the pregnancy, left a farewell letter, and with her brother’s help staged a private plane crash at sea—giving Alessandro a taste of his own deception. Only when he learned that his wife and unborn child were both dead did he completely break down. Then Alessandro discovered that Serena’s terminal illness and the supposed life-saving favor were all lies—and that Ginevra had seen through everything from the beginning. Ginevra returned to Tuscany, reclaimed the De Luca name, and took control of her family’s empire. Alessandro offered millions to track her down in Italy, only to receive divorce papers. In the end, he died consumed by regret, while Ginevra reclaimed her name, power, and freedom—and chose to live entirely for herself.
