Series details Isabella, the sole heir to the preeminent crime family on the East Coast, grows weary of the frigid cage of power. She conceals her noble identity, adopts the alias Isa and works as an ordinary nanny. She enters the estate of Luca, the New York crime don, to tenderly care for his young daughter Sofia, who lost her mother at an early age. Over two years of constant companionship, she heals the affection-starved little girl with her gentleness, yet quietly suppresses her fondness for the cold and detached Luca. A tender bond unknown to anyone else develops between them.
But Luca, who prioritizes interests above all, arranges a marriage alliance with Natasha, daughter of a Russian oligarch, to consolidate his power. Consumed by jealousy, Natasha publicly humiliates and slaps Isa, accusing her of being greedy and deceiving the child. To safeguard cross-border profits, Luca stands by indifferently, watching Isa — clad only in a thin dress and barefoot — be cast out into the torrential rain. Every ounce of her sincerity is shattered.
Heartbroken, she leaves, and the formidable heir returns. Isa drops her disguise and rejoins her family. She holds absolute authority over seventy percent of Luca’s overseas enterprises, capable of restraining the entire Moretti underworld empire single-handedly. By this time, Luca has long grown disgusted by the vicious Natasha. Tormented by regret over losing Isa and watching his daughter sink into depression, he searches frantically yet finds no trace of her.
It is not until they face each other at business negotiations that Luca realizes with a jolt: the humble nanny he cruelly cast aside is the heir of a powerful dynasty who holds the lifeline of his empire. Isa confronts him with unyielding resolve, and her only demand is to protect Sofia and preserve their pure love.
Afterwards, Luca severs the marriage alliance completely and abandons the arrogance of a crime don. He devotes everything to atonement, vowing to shield her from all enemies who slander and plot against her. Having endured countless hardships, the two resolve their rifts and redeem each other. Isabella takes command of the underworld empire. Together with Luca, she rewrites the ruthless rules of the criminal world. The three of them heal one another, breaking free from the shackles of blood ties and power, and embrace a warm, stable and fulfilling future.
