The Dragon's Bride From Sacrifice to Soulmate Episode 1

Series details

Lucia, the true-born daughter of a wolf noble’s household, lost her mother at a young age and has endured years of cruelty from her stepmother, Margaret, and her stepsister, Amelia. Determined to steal Lucia’s engagement to Soren, heir to a powerful duke, Amelia lures her into a dangerous forest. While fleeing for her life, Lucia accidentally falls into a forbidden dragon sanctuary, where she encounters Zephyros, the Dragon Lord, who has only just awakened from a grave injury and is barely conscious. The two spend a night together, and Lucia unknowingly becomes pregnant with his child. When Zephyros fully awakens, he is unable to remember the woman’s face. Guided only by the lingering trace of her scent, he follows it to the count’s estate. Terrified of the Dragon Lord’s revenge and desperate to protect Amelia, Lucia’s father and stepmother choose to offer Lucia to the dragons as a sacrifice. Believing she is being sent to her death, Lucia is stunned when Zephyros not only spares her life but publicly announces that he intends to take her as his wife. Desperate to conceal her pregnancy, Lucia turns to her fiancé, Soren, for help, only to discover that he has already betrayed her and allied himself with Amelia. After being humiliated and attacked, Lucia is rescued by Zephyros and taken back to the dragon castle. Their marriage begins under a cloud of secrets, misunderstandings, and suspicion. Zephyros believes the child Lucia carries belongs to another man, while Lucia, haunted by the legend that every bride sacrificed to the Dragon Lord meets a terrible end, cannot bring herself to trust his growing affection. Meanwhile, Amelia conspires with several dragon elders to frame Lucia again and again. They accuse her of losing her purity and attempting to corrupt the dragon bloodline, hoping to have her executed. It is not until Lucia and her unborn child are nearly killed in a public burning that Zephyros senses a powerful bloodline resonance and finally realizes the truth: the child he had condemned as another man’s bastard is, in fact, his own. To protect Lucia and their child, Zephyros openly defies the dragon elders. However, his decision binds him and Lucia together under a deadly curse: unless they truly fall in love with each other within three months, they will both die in unbearable agony. As they spend more time together, Lucia gradually discovers that Zephyros is nothing like the cruel and bloodthirsty monster described in the legends. The brides who were once sacrificed to him were never killed—he secretly set them free. Even the terrifying stories surrounding the forbidden dragon territory were deliberately created by Zephyros to put an end to the practice of sacrifice. Through repeated betrayals, conspiracies, and life-or-death trials, Zephyros comes to understand the years of suffering Lucia has endured, while Lucia finally sees the tenderness, responsibility, and compassion hidden beneath his cold exterior. In the end, they clear up their misunderstandings and join forces to punish Amelia and the family members who abused Lucia. Their genuine love breaks the curse, protects their unborn child, and transforms a marriage born from sacrifice and deception into a destined romance that bridges the worlds of wolves and dragons.
