The Duke’s Bride of Misfortune Episode 1

Series details

Sophie Carter, a top‑tier modern‑world wine taster and perfumer, suddenly transmigrates into a novel, reborn as the despised Duchess of Sterling. The original host had schemed to marry the duke and earned a terrible reputation, leaving Sophie stuck in an unwanted marriage. She accidentally awakens a jinxed “curse‑mouth” ability: every bad thing she says will come true, yet the power often backfires on herself. Desperate to get divorced and return to her original world, she keeps trying to push for separation. Little does she know that Duke William Sterling possesses a secret mind‑reading power. He can hear all her unspoken thoughts — her sarcastic inner complaints and true intentions behind her fake gentle words. Though he once loathes the scheming former duchess, William grows curious and gradually falls for the genuine, capable Sophie. Leveraging her outstanding wine‑tasting talent, Sophie helps William win a crucial masked wine‑tasting contest and seize valuable trade‑route rights. Amid comedic mishaps, rival provocations and slow‑burn romance, the fake marital bond transforms into sincere love, and the pair finally tie the knot in a heartfelt wedding.
