The Hidden Card Shark Episode 1

Series details

Maverick, a legendary high roller who walked away from Las Vegas, swore to never touch gambling again after his brother's death. He vanished into anonymity, scraping by as an ordinary chauffeur. His wife Luna placed blind faith in her close friend Nova, only to fall into a rigged casino con hatched by Nova and gang boss Kai. Luna lost their entire $200,000 life savings in a single night. Overwhelmed by hopelessness, she tried to take her own life, but Maverick intervened just in time to save her. Once he uncovered their long-running cheating racket, Maverick broke his sacred vow and stepped back behind the gaming tables. He posed as a reckless, greedy novice, gradually goading the villains into upping their wagers, then flipped the script and won every penny back. Burning with vengeful rage, Kai and Nova recruited Ethan, a master croupier famed for sharp detection, to take Maverick down. They kidnapped Luna to blackmail Maverick into facing them alone at the table. Maverick pretended to comply with their game to keep the criminals occupied, while tasking his old confidant Wilkins, a casino proprietor, with rescuing his wife. The moment Luna was brought to safety, Maverick dropped his clueless act for good. During the climactic final match, Ethan caught a tell exposing Maverick’s hidden cards. Kai instantly drew his gun and aimed it at Maverick, leaving the pair locked in a frozen, life-or-death stalemate.
