Three years ago, Ye Tian rejected the invitations from the three major families in Shangjing for the sake of the Shen family. However, the Shen family didn't appreciate his sacrifice and sought to expel him. Disappointed by the Shen family, Ye Tian decided to make them realize who had silently supported them all along. At the Tianji Banquet, he publicly humiliated the leading Taoist masters and canceled the disciple recruitment ceremony, leaving the Shen family in utter despair. Qin Ming took the Shen family to Shangjing to find Ye Tian, but Ye Tian easily defeated him. Ye Tian then learned the location of the Ghost Valley heir and went to Qingzhou, while Shen Qiuyun also sought help from the Chen family. At an auction, Chen Xiujie humiliated Ye Tian, but in the end, Ye Tian defeated the Ghost Valley heir, Qianyuan.
