The Night My Husband Let Me Die Episode 1

Series details

At 8 p.m. on New Year's Eve, Deborah, who had donated a kidney to her husband, died suddenly from cardiac arrest on the sofa. When her husband Mitchell came home with their son and his female coworker Melissa, they mistook her lifeless body for her sleeping in anger after an argument, simply covering her with a blanket before heading out with the other two to feast on king crab. Melissa stole Deborah's phone to forge messages and frame her. Mitchell left Deborah's life-saving medication beside her body, and the whole family left for a two-day ski vacation in Aspen. The truth only came to light when neighbors spotted bodily fluid seeping from the decomposing corpse. Melissa faced legal punishment for willfully withholding life-saving aid. Plagued by relentless remorse, Mitchell passed away from kidney rejection on New Year's Eve the following year, his soul never to receive Deborah's forgiveness. Their son grew up to become a cardiac surgeon, carrying on a path of redemption.
