The Oil Tycoon's Vengeful Bride Episode 1

Series details

Just before her wedding to Declan Voss, heir to the Voss family fortune, Selene Hale caught her fiancé cheating with her adoptive sister, Lorelei Hale. After her mother, Clara, witnessed the scandal, Lorelei accidentally pushed her down the stairs, leaving her severely injured and in a vegetative state. Desperate and disillusioned, Selene abandoned the idea of a public showdown and set her sights on Declan’s father—Texas oil tycoon Ronan Voss: Since Lorelei had schemed so meticulously to become the young Mrs. Voss, Selene would marry Ronan and become Lorelei’s rightful stepmother. She carefully orchestrated “chance encounters” and used a “tease-and-withdraw” strategy to attract Ronan—a calm and reserved man who had been a widower for twelve years. The two were successfully married. After the wedding, Selene, as Mrs. Voss, engaged in multiple rounds of intellectual battles with Lorelei and Declan at the Voss estate, with Ronan always standing unconditionally behind her, supporting and protecting her. As they spent more and more time together, Selene was moved by Ronan’s respect, tenderness, and favoritism, and her original desire for revenge was gradually replaced by genuine affection; while Ronan had sensed early on that she had ulterior motives for approaching him, he had long since become ensnared in their clashes and willingly fell into her “trap.” As Lorelei’s schemes were successively exposed, Declan’s old hit-and-run case from years ago resurfaced, and the truth that Declan was Ronan’s adopted son was revealed, the two endured misunderstandings and separations before finally opening their hearts to one another and coming together. Selene’s mother also successfully regained consciousness, leading to a happy ending.
