The Price of Saving You Episode 1

Series details

In the modern world where wealthy elites coexist, Chloe and Julian had a deep and unforgettable first love. Julian was critically ill with kidney failure and urgently needed a kidney donor. Chloe, in order to protect her lover's dignity, secretly donated a kidney without telling anyone and, together with her close friend Alexander, staged a plot of betrayal. She endured the pain and voluntarily severed the relationship. Three years after the breakup, Chloe found herself working as a hotel receptionist and unexpectedly met Julian again, who was now with a new girlfriend. Julian, unaware of the truth, harbored resentment due to the "betrayal" in the past and repeatedly put her through all kinds of hardships and humiliation, forcing her to change beds, questioning her in public about theft, and forcibly offering her alcohol. She was constantly verbally hurtful throughout their interactions. In the midst of these ambiguous and intimate exchanges, her love for Julian was uncontrollably and repeatedly wavering. Chloe endured the aftereffects of the kidney donation surgery alone and endured all her grievances without ever revealing the truth. She was on the verge of undergoing a risky second surgery. Alexander couldn't bear to see her suffer, and he voluntarily found out the entire truth from Julian. He learned that the life-saving kidney was given by her lover and that all the betrayals were carefully staged. Julian was filled with endless remorse and suddenly realized that he needed to pursue her relentlessly. All the previous hardships and humiliations turned into sharp blades to humiliate her. Chloe was on the eve of the surgery, and Julian stayed by her bedside day and night, repenting and accompanying her. After the surgery, which went smoothly and she recovered, the two of them resolved all their conflicts, let go of the three-year estrangement, and officially got married, starting a simple and warm cohabitation life. Her former lover and the vain companion who had treated her poorly ended up with a disappointing and leaving-out ending.
