The Queen Must Die Episode 1

Series details

She gave everything to the kingdom. He gave her crown to another woman. Catherine, queen of Elderland, was cast down on the day of her greatest victory. King Edward gave all credit to Vivian—a handmaid who swiftly took her bed, her throne, her dignity. Step by step, Vivian trapped Catherine: framing her for self-harm, forcing her to kneel, pouring wine over her head. Then came the whip, the exile, and the execution of her only loyal maid. A dying prisoner pressed a crest into Catherine's hand. The truth it held: her father had been poisoned by the king she had served. She fled. Near death, she was saved by a loyal knight and taken north. In the ice-bound keep, she learned the last secret: her mother was the last heir of the North—and she herself carried the only blood that could unite it. She rose from the mud. She wore the silver crown of her true lineage. She gathered the Northern army and marched on the capital. On the day of her official deposition, Catherine walked back into the palace—not in rags, but in armor. She unmasked Vivian. She exposed Edward's crimes: murder, treason, betrayal. They knelt. She judged. They were beheaded. Catherine was crowned the first queen of Elderland. She stood at the highest tower, looked down at the city that had once cursed her name, and said nothing. She didn't need to. They had wanted her dead. Now, she was the only thing they could see.
