The Reborn Witch Chose My Uncle Episode 1

Series details

In her past life, Helia—the last moon-blooded witch of the Ashford line—gave everything to Drakon, heir of the Thornwood witch clan. For seven years, she took lethal strikes meant for him, drained the Ashford family's ancestral power to build his influence, and step by step, placed him upon the throne of the Witch King. Yet Drakon mistook the wild witch Nyxsa for his true savior and doted on her above all. On the night when the Blood Moon burned brightest, he tore up their blood oath before the assembly and, together with Nyxsa, pinned Helia to the sacrificial altar. A red-hot brand seared the traitor's mark into her flesh. The moon-blood lineage, rooted deep within her very being, was ripped from her, shattering into silver dust that scattered across the sky. Nyxsa smiled and told her that her husband, her family, and everything she had ever known would be hers to claim. At the brink of death, Drakon's uncle—the former Witch King Cauthus Thornwood, scorned by the entire clan as the "Staffless One"—charged through the blood-flames onto the execution platform, his body torn and bleeding, shielding her with his own. She watched him die before her eyes, helpless to stop it. In her final breath, Helia offered her last tear to the Moon Goddess, begging for one chance to begin again. When she opened her eyes again, Helia was back at the Blood Moon Feast—the night she turned eighteen. The Blood Moon Council's elder read the oracle of the sacred blood oath. Drakon sat smug and triumphant, expecting her to weep and crawl back to him. Instead, Helia renounced the betrothal before the entire hall, walked through the grand chamber, and crossed the assembly toward the shadowed figure of Cauthus. She raised her voice for all to hear: "I choose him." In this life, she will unseal the old vow laid upon Cauthus with her own hands and restore the true Witch King to his throne. She will tear off Nyxsa's mask of false virtue and grind her from the heights back into the mud. And she will make sure that when Drakon regains the memories of his past life, he will watch her stand beside Cauthus upon the Witch King's dais—forever yearning, forever denied. The man she wrongfully gave her heart to in her past life—in this life, he deserves only to kneel and gaze up in longing. And the man who was destined to protect her all along—she finally dares to take his hand and say: "This life, let me be the one to guard you."
