The Shadow Billionaire Episode 1

Series details

Auto mechanic Chris is cheated on right in front of him by his fiancée, Sarah. She's straddling the lap of real estate heir Brody, laughing as she throws cash in Chris's face: "You can't even afford the basement rent. Get lost." What she doesn't know is that the crumpled lottery ticket in Chris's pocket—has just won 1 BILLION dollars. Chris doesn't flaunt his revenge. He hires a Wall Street–fired financial butcher named Victor, forms a shadow conglomerate, then dresses as a valet to infiltrate Brody's family's top hotel as the lowest of the low. He watches Brody sign a deadly contract. He personally freezes Brody's entire fortune. He even grits his teeth and swallows the pain when Brody beats him in public—because the acquisition agreement is still 24 hours from taking effect. The only person who sees that Chris doesn't belong among the lowly is the hotel front desk, Maya. She takes a punch for him, records the villains' conspiracy, but walks away heartbroken after Chris "refuses to fight back." Then—the charity gala's doors slam open. Twelve suited enforcers clear the path. Chris strips off his valet uniform, steps into a million-dollar custom suit, and walks the red carpet. Three hundred guests kneel. His ex-fiancée's wine glass shatters. And Chris looks only at the red-eyed girl in the corner: "This… is why I couldn't fight back that night."
