The Shadow Negotiator Episode 1

Series details

Ethan, a former top ICC legal elite, went into anonymity and hid in a law firm’s archive for three years after his mentor William committed suicide, framed by Julian Price. He secretly dug into the truth behind the Luxembourg financial case. During a merger negotiation, his multilingual skills and solid legal expertise stood out, catching the eye of Ella, the firm’s star M&A partner. The two built deep trust and teamed up to take down mastermind Price. Price laundered money through offshore firm Orpheus and altered core clauses to cover up his crimes; old Croft and Ella’s mother Claire were both tangled in his profit chain. Relying on case file details, print logs and encrypted evidence, Ethan uncovered clues step by step. Teaming up with hacker Mark and federal prosecutor Sophia, they gathered full proof of Price’s offences. Price responded by setting fires to burn archives, filing lawsuits and painting Ethan as obsessive in court. After rounds of fierce confrontations, the court convicted Price on multiple charges. Old Croft turned himself in to atone, and Claire handed over all case-related documents. When everything settled, the firm rebuilt its archive and set up a special case collection. Ethan received an offer to work as a UN simultaneous interpreter, let go of his three-year obsession, cleared his mentor’s name and finally found inner peace.
