The Sister You Buried Episode 1

Series details

Eighteen years ago, a European royal family welcomed a pair of twins, a girl named Sophia and a boy named Lucas. Tragically, both siblings were born with an extremely rare form of sepsis. At death's door, a witch declared that only by sacrificing one child's life could the other be saved. To secure the survival of Lucas, the sole male heir, the grandmother did not hesitate to choose to sacrifice her granddaughter Sophia to rescue Lucas. After the ritual, Lucas regained his vitality, but Sophia was left at death's door. The heartless grandmother, deeming the girl no longer useful, ordered the witch to abandon her. The witch left Sophia in a slum, placing a necklace that proved her identity on her. Fortunately, Sophia was rescued by a common apothecary, who adopted her and gave her the name "Mia." From then on, the royal princess, now the daughter of an apothecary, struggled to survive at the bottom of society. Eighteen years later, Mia had grown up. To raise money to save her adoptive father's failing hospital, Mia applied to be a royal maid. But an accidental mishap offended Prince Lucas. Now grown up, Lucas lived a pampered life, arrogant and overbearing, using his status to bully Mia and her adoptive father at every turn. Lucas's birth mother, the Queen, always stood by Lucas and came in person to back him up. Little did they know that the very person they bullied and humiliated was their closest kin—Princess Sophia, who had been left behind years ago. When the truth came to light, the Queen and the Prince were filled with regret and knelt before Mia, begging her forgiveness. In the end, with sustained sincerity and action, they gradually melted Mia's inner resistance. Mia not only regained her identity as a princess but also gained true familial love and respect, completing a magnificent transformation from dust to stars.
