The Slap That Broke It Episode 1

Series details

Hallie Wren had been married to David Dawn for ten years. She endured endless hardship and humiliation in the family — and all it took to break the silence was one bite. At Grace Cox's birthday banquet, she picked up her chopsticks a moment too early. Her sister-in-law Vivian Dawn slapped her in front of everyone. Everyone expected David — the quiet, long-suffering husband — to stay silent as usual. But this time, he slammed his hand on the table and exploded. He had quietly built a business and achieved financial freedom years ago. That day, he cut ties with his birth family, froze their bank accounts, reclaimed their cars and properties, and threw his sister and her husband out of the house. The Dawn family, who had lived a parasitic lifestyle for years, hit rock bottom. Hunted by loan sharks and with nowhere to turn, they kidnapped Hallie and her daughter. They were eventually brought to justice.
