The Unanswered 36 Calls Episode 1

Series details

On New Year's Eve, Lyanna’s son David was kidnapped by her husband Stephen’s sworn enemy, strapped all over with explosives. She made thirty-six desperate calls to Stephen throughout the night, only getting through once. All she heard was the clink of champagne glasses and women’s giggles. Stephen snapped at her for using their son to seek attention and hung up abruptly. The moment the call ended, the boy was killed in the explosion. Stephen was entirely absent from their son’s funeral, spending the day celebrating his mistress Jacqueline’s birthday instead. He even left a comment on her social media: "You are my forever". Heartbroken, Lyanna filed for divorce, yet Stephen insisted his son’s death was a lie she fabricated, blindly believing every word of his mistress. Jacqueline moved brazenly into Lyanna’s home, wearing her bathrobes, throwing away the child’s belongings, and even removing the memorial candles for David in the church to make space for her own pets. She constantly sowed discord and framed Lyanna, making Stephen grow increasingly disgusted with his wife. Even after seeing the death certificate, Stephen deemed it fake and tried to force Lyanna to swallow a pendant holding their son’s ashes. In her darkest despair, the kidnapper called Stephen voluntarily and revealed the truth: David’s death was secretly plotted by Jacqueline, who colluded with the kidnapper solely to get rid of the child and have Stephen all to herself. Shocked by the harsh truth, Stephen fell into total collapse. Lyanna spent all her savings, working with lawyers and private detectives to gather solid evidence, bringing both the kidnapper and Jacqueline to justice. In the end, the kidnapper was sentenced to death, Jacqueline received fifteen years in prison, and Stephen was left trapped in endless remorse and self-blame for the rest of his life. Lyanna finalized the divorce, donated most of her property to a child protection foundation, and moved to the countryside to work as a teacher, where she met an orphan named Zander. She healed the lonely boy with maternal love and found redemption for herself. With eternal longing for David in her heart, she stepped toward a brand-new life.
