Series details

Once the heir to the powerful Vito family, Aldric was cast out ten years ago after being framed for betraying his own clan. Forced into a political marriage with Elena, the daughter of a rival family, he suffered one final humiliation when she abandoned him for his cousin on their wedding day. Soon afterward, Aldric disappeared from New York. Ten years later, he quietly returns under a new identity. While everyone believes the fallen heir is long gone, Aldric reconnects with old allies and begins uncovering the corruption that allowed his cousin to take his place. At a high-profile charity auction, a mysterious bidder shocks New York’s most powerful families—and Elena slowly realizes the stranger behind the scenes may be the man she once betrayed. As evidence of his cousin’s corruption comes to light, Aldric finally reveals his identity and clears his name. But just when he is ready to reclaim his inheritance, Elena produces an old contract claiming that he cannot become head of the family without marrying her. In front of everyone, Aldric tears it apart. He didn’t return to restore the system that destroyed him. He returned to build a new one—on his own terms.
