They Chose Her. I Chose Me Episode 1

Series details

"Switched at birth, Evelyn spends twenty-one years with the Ford family, only to be treated as an outsider when their biological daughter, Cecilia, returns. During an earthquake, her brother Liam and fiancé Sebastian choose to rescue Cecilia first despite Evelyn’s more serious injuries, leaving her right leg further damaged. After hearing that Sebastian plans to end their engagement, Evelyn decides to leave. After leaving the hospital, she gives up the engagement, but her adoptive mother still arranges a date with a womanizer and even slaps her. Liam tries to make amends, yet admits he would still rescue his biological sister first if given another chance. On Evelyn and Cecilia’s shared birthday, the family secretly celebrates with Cecilia while Evelyn flies to Miami alone and cuts off all contact. Five years later, Evelyn has been trained to take over her maternal aunt’s company. Meanwhile, the Ford family business is in crisis, Sebastian and Cecilia have broken off their engagement, and Cecilia has been imprisoned for killing someone while street racing. When Evelyn accompanies her aunt to New York for medical treatment, she reunites with her adoptive mother and Liam. Faced with their belated regret, Evelyn refuses to turn back, choosing instead to move forward with the family who truly values her."
