Three Times a Prisoner: The Mafia’s Bride Episode 1

Series details

Ballet dancer Elena is forced into prostitution at an underground nightclub to pay for her seriously ill mother's treatment. Mafia godfather Dante recognizes her as the woman who saved him on a rainy night three years prior and imprisons her in his manor. Elena struggles, rebels, and goes on a hunger strike, but their daily interactions lead to a tangled relationship, and she becomes pregnant with his child. Threatened by a rival gang, Dante reluctantly sends Elena away to protect her, while he is forced into an engagement with Eva after plastic surgery. Elena, believing she has been abandoned, storms into the wedding with a gun to seek revenge, but Dante takes a bullet for her. In this life-or-death moment, the two let go of their past grievances. After recovering from his injuries, Dante finds Elena, kneels down, and presents her with the pigeon-blood red diamond ring that symbolizes the matriarch of his family. This time, he gives her the right to say "no." On a beach at sunset, Elena holds her toddler, and Dante embraces her from behind. She smiles and replies, "I hated, but now I'm willing." True love is never about imprisonment, but about the choice made after letting go.
