To Love and to Suffer Episode 1

Series details

"Six years ago, Matsui Rino, a wealthy heiress, fell for poor but driven Hashimoto Eihisa. Her father, determined to separate them, framed Eihisa for embezzlement to hide his own crimes while forcing Rino to marry Nakayama Kakemori. Under her mother’s tearful pressure, Rino falsely accused Eihisa of rape, ruining his life and her reputation. The Nakayama family abandoned the engagement, and Eihisa, innocent but betrayed, was imprisoned—hating Rino for her lies. Years later, Eihisa earns parole through revolutionary inventions made in prison. When they meet again, their fortunes have flipped: Rino, now bankrupt and drowning in debt, is at his mercy. Love and vengeance bind them in a cycle of cruelty and longing. Just as the truth nears the surface, Rino learns she is dying. Choosing silence to spare Eihisa pain, she faces death alone. In their final days, what awaits these two—bound by thorns, unable to escape or let go?"
