When the Truth Finally Woke Episode 1

Series details

Ten years ago, Alexander, heir to the Walker Group, became convinced that his high school sweetheart, Elena, had pushed his mother, Evelyn, down the stairs and left her in a vegetative state. From that moment on, he personally destroyed Elena’s life: her father died under false accusations, her education was ruined, she spent three years in prison, and she even lost the hearing in her left ear. No one knew that Elena had already been diagnosed with stomach cancer. She endured everything for one reason—to see her younger sister, Amy, one last time before she died. But in the end, she learned that Amy had also died because of Sophia’s schemes. Devastated, Elena was abandoned by Alexander in an impoverished neighborhood and disappeared from his life. Three years later, Evelyn suddenly wakes up and personally confirms that Elena never harmed her. Following the truth, Alexander begins investigating and discovers that the surveillance footage had been tampered with by his father, Richard, and that the tragedies suffered by Elena’s family over the years were all connected to the Walker family. Overwhelmed by guilt, Alexander desperately searches for Elena, only to discover that she is still alive—and has already married Noah, the man who once saved her. But Elena’s cancer worsens again, leaving her only three months to live. Alexander begins clearing the names of Elena and her family, investigates the truth behind Amy’s death, and completely turns against his father, yet Elena still refuses to forgive him. In the end, he finally learns to respect Elena’s choice and lets her return to Noah. Elena spends her final days peacefully beside the man she loves, while Alexander is left to live the rest of his life with regret that can never be undone.
