Torturous Love: The True Heiress Quits Episode 1

Series details

Within the elite circles of New York finance, the Wentworth, Montero, and Blackwood families harbor a generations-old blood feud. Decades ago, the Monteros and Blackwoods conspired to betray the Wentworths, monopolizing pharmaceutical patents and ruthlessly short-selling assets; this drove the Wentworth patriarch to a bitter death and brought the family to the brink of ruin. To seal a curse upon the bloodline, the Blackwoods secretly swapped their illegitimate daughter, Isabella, with the Montero heiress, Eleanor. The true heiress, Eleanor, was cast into the slums; through sheer grit and talent, she rose to become a top emergency physician. Yet, her only sister suffered from a rare cardiomyopathy, relying entirely on an exclusive, life-saving drug produced by the Wentworth Group to survive. Sebastian, the Wentworth heir, was born with a hereditary condition—a neurological disorder causing violent, uncontrollable bloodlust. During a breakdown in his youth, he was inadvertently saved by the young Eleanor; she became the fated antidote capable of soothing his affliction, sparking an obsession he would harbor and pursue in secret for years. Upon discovering the truth of the baby swap, Sebastian chose silence to facilitate his revenge, coldly watching the two rival families tear each other apart. Once his power was secure, he used a "body double" contract as bait and her sister’s medication as leverage to forcibly imprison the adult Eleanor—initiating a dark, doomed tale of captivity born of vengeance and bound by pathological obsession.
